Who has been watching Eurovision, I must say it’s been one hell of a ride.

In Eurovision there is twenty-six countries competing and from each of the country there are juries that are involved in the voting. Tonight is a big night as the juries get to decide fifty percent of the Eurovision 2019 results. Fifteen countries were eliminated in the two semi-finals earlier this week.

In the Eurovision, each jury consists of a chairperson and four additional judges. The judges watch the show through an internal broadcast over the Eurovision network, the judges are not permitted to vote for the country they represent.

Earlier today, a full run through of the show took place at the expo Tel Aviv in front of the press and fans. It will be interesting to see who wins this year as the competition is pretty tight, that’s my point of view.

Onto some not good news, Ashley Massaro, 39, dies after being found unconscious at her home in Long Island.

Ashley Massaro was a WWE superstar and Playboy model, emergency responders administered CPR, while taking her to hospital where she was later pronounced dead due to undisclosed but non-criminal causes.

Ashley Massaro was a WWE fighter stretching from 2005 to 2008, she also appeared on the cover of Playboy.

The WWE organisation released a statement in response to Massaro’s death, offering their condolences to the fighter’s family and friends.

The cause of death has not yet been revealed, Massaro joined a class action lawsuit against WWE related to potential head injuries in November of 2016, this was filed by attorney Konstatine Kyros, the Boston globe reported.

Massaro accused WWE of concealing risks of injury known to cause neurological damage as well as alleging the company discouraged her from reporting an alleged sexual assault. She survived on a US military base in 2006 during a WWE tour.

The lawsuit was however dismissed in 2017, her death remains under investigation.

Robert Pattinson is set to take over from Ben Afflek as the next one to play Batman. Robert Pattinson is well known for his Twilight franchise role, Variety states that Pattinson is in negotiations to play the lead role in The Batman, a film conceived as a project for Ben Afflek to write, direct and star in.

Unfortunately, after the critical and commercial disappointment of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, Ben Afflek dropped out of the film.

Robert Pattinson’s participation in the Batman has not yet been confirmed by Warner Bros, with Tolkien star, Nicholas Hoult also on the shortlist for the role.

Pattinson with a resume, stretching from Harry Potter and the Twilight franchises, as well as a series of acclaimed arthouse films for directors such as David Croneberg and Claire Dennis, Pattinson is pretty much the frontrunner.

Grumpy cat’s death marks the end of the joyful Internet.

In 2012 the US was halfway through President Obama’s Presidency, the first Avengers movie came out, Hunger Games premiered. Hope was at an all-time high and Reddit the web’s front page, was there anyone with a cute pet as they could get a thousand upvotes, cats were the most popular but dogs would slip in a time or two. In September though of that year, Bryan Bundesen posted a picture of his sister Tabatha’s cat, Tadar Sauce, an eleven-month-old tabby with feline dwarfism that perpetually looked annoyed, the Internet went alight with Grumpy Cat.

Was the Grumpy Cat the most important figure on the Internet ever? No. But her passing is a reminder of a time, rest in peace Grumpy Cat.
