Good day to you all out there from us here at Meditravelist in Istanbul, Turkey 🇹🇷. Well its a bit cloudy this morning but from the looks of it I am confident that the sun will make an appearance, mind you it’s nice little breeze, that’s very welcome.

A very unfortunate incident occurred at the Tate modern. A boy of 6 years old was thrown from the viewing gallery at the Tate Modern by a stranger, the good news is that the 6-year-old is no longer fighting for his life. After the incident, his condition is no longer life threatening.

The 6-year-old boy was allegedly thrown over the fence by a boy, 17 years of age, who was detained by witnesses as the child’s mother shouted that’s my son.

The incident at the Tate Modern happened around 2.40pm on Saturday and the child was treated at the scene before being flown to hospital by London Air Ambulance. It’s not believed that the suspect or the victim knew each other.

Scotland Yard said a number of public members are assisting the police with witness statements.

Arsenal lost to Barcelona in the Joan Gamper trophy. Luis Suarez scored one of the goals while the other was an own goal from the Arsenal side, compliments of Ainsley Maitland – Niles thus sealing the win for Barcelona.

Arsenal fans after the match seemed to turn on defender Shkodran Mustafi after the club lost to Barcelona.

During the match Shkodran Mustafi was brought on, only for the German to be seemingly at fault for the second goal of the day. Following this a number of fans took to twitter to call for the Gunners to get rid of Shkodran Mustafi, as their fan base’s hate for the defender seemingly grows more and more with each passing game. His performance for the last couple of seasons has not been very impressive.

8chan the far-right website has found itself linked to the rise in hate crimes. On the 8chan website, the past six months, three attackers have allegedly posted their plans on the site in advance. So, the question in a lot of people’s minds is why 8chan allowed to operate openly.

The suspect in the massacre that left 51 Muslims dead in Christchurch, New Zealand, allegedly posted a white nationalist screed and link to his Facebook live feed on 8chan, a far-right message board and notorious bastion of hate speech. There is also the suspect in the shooting, at the synagogue in Poway, California, that killed one person while injuring three others, allegedly posted an open letter on 8chan.

The recent suspect on the Saturday’s attack at the crowded Walmart in El Paso, Texas, which claimed the lives of 20 people, is also believed to have posted a white nationalist rant on 8chan.

At its most basic level, 8chan is a website hosting user generated message board. Users can create and moderate their own boards about topics ranging from anime, cryptocurrency, politics and video games or have the option to post on an established board. Almost everyone participates anonymously, and the only rule is user should not post content that is illegal in the United States, such as child exploitation material.

Extremists however have been central to 8chan identity since it was founded in 2013 by a computer programmer and self-proclaimed eugenicist, Frederick Brennan. He has since distanced himself from the site along with his earlier writings and beliefs, he has severed his ties with the site. There is a call to kick them off as the pain these extremists cause is beyond belief.
