Morning to everyone out there from us here at Meditravelist in Istanbul Turkey, wishing you all a happy Friday, we will take you once again on a journey around the world reporting the various headlines as they happen.

We will start today with Julian Assange, for those of you who do not know who Julian Assange is well he is an Australian computer programmer and the founder, director of WikiLeaks.

Julian Assange is currently in police custody in London after having been arrested on the 11th of April 2019 by the Metropolitan police after breaching his bail condition back in 2010.

The WikiLeaks Co-founder sought refuge seven years ago at the Ecuador embassy in Knightsbridge, to avoid extradition to Sweden where he faced sexual assault charges, that however the WikiLeaks Co-founder has been exonerated from as the charges were dropped.

Ecuador abruptly withdrew its asylum for Julian Assange and they and they invited the police to come and arrest him.

After his arrest he was taken to Westminster magistrates Court where he was found guilty of the charge of breaching bail, he is looking at up to 12 months for that conviction.

Nipsey Hussle one of the most recognisable names in hip hop who was tragically shot and killed last month had thousands of fans and a horde of big-name stars turn up at the Staples centre to pay tribute to the 33 years old rapper.

Celebrities such as Jay Z, Beyoncé, 50 cents and Kendrick Lamar were seen among the masses at the three-hour memorial service, during the service Nipsey Hussle was immortalised as a home town hero and he was remembered as an activist, campaigner, musician and father. The ceremony featured moving speeches from friends and family including his fiancée Lauren London and collaborator Snoop Dogg, it was a beautiful celebration for Nipsey Hussle if it wasn’t for some senseless shooting that happened during the procession which saw one person killed and three injured in Los Angeles, the suspects who were in a grey Hyundai fired at the victims and sped off, Los Angeles Chief of Police tweeted this news confirmation.

The ever so popular Wendy Williams has filed for divorce from her husband of 22 years this past Thursday. Wendy Williams husband Kevin Hunter has been living the High life with his mistress in a secret hideaway in New Jersey after she gave birth to their daughter, in the meantime Wendy Williams has been battling alcohol and pills addiction brought on by the affair.

Wendy Williams who is worth an estimated sixty million dollars has decided that she has had enough and filed the papers at her television studio.

And lastly in Sudan where they were a nationwide celebration that the Sudanese strongman Omar Al Bashir had been ousted this past Thursday.

This joy did not last in Sudan as the army had taken control, as the news of Bashir’s downfall was circulating the military meanwhile dissolved the government, suspended the country’s constitution and declared a three-month state of emergency. The military has made it known that they will remain in control for at least 2 years to oversee the transition of power, this led to a lot of dismay from protesters and outside observers as realisation has struck that elections won’t happen anytime soon.
