Ambulatory phlebectomy, also known as microphlebectomy or stab phlebectomy, is an outpatient mini surgical treatment procedure (in-office procedure) based on removing of the superficial varicose veins through small slit-like incisions in the skin.

Temporary bruising and swelling, inflammation, skin numbness, allergic reaction to local anesthesia may occur in affected area. Scarring is usually minimal with experienced dermatologic surgeons.
