Loop Duodenal Switch (SADI-S=Single Anastomosis Duodeno-Ileal bypass with Sleeve gastrectomy) is a modification of the duodenal switch procedure, also known as biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch (BPD-DS) combining both the sleeve gastrectomy and the gastric bypass surgeries.

As a first step, sleeve gastrectomy is performed to decrease the volume of the stomach and then a banana–shaped stomach anastomosis is created to the lower part of the divided small bowel.

Thus, gastric volume is restricted, and the duodenum and the upper part of the small bowel are bypassed. With newly created and shortened gastrointestinal tract, the feeling of hunger is diminished, and this procedure causes to eat less and afterwards to lose weight.
